night by don bernard it takes a certain amount of courage to organize a series of folk- bluegrass concerts in a place such as stouffville the endeavor is fraught with danger but susan and david hopper are taking a chance the local couple are betting that there are enough people interested in good folk and country music to make the en terprise a success friday evening at latcham hall bruce miller appeared in the first of eight winter nights concerts if the other seven are anything like the opener then local audiences are in for a treat indeed bruce miller provided a varied program offolk blues and country style music mostly original com positions love songs and introspective musings combined with a flair for humor made the concert entertaining mr miller did it the hard way too with no backup he provided some- very good sometimes brilliant accoustic guitar work he also offered a fiddle set in each half of the show in the finale he played the guitar and fiddle at the same time the program in volvedsuch numbers as annamarie a- bruce miller original recently recorded by susan jacks and rude awakening another of his songs recently released as a single it was the easy good- humor
