school bell friday june 5 at 3 pm to officially open the claremont conservation field centre the educational facility is the third to be established by the metropolitan toronto and region conservation authority students from metro and regional schools have been taking weeklong and weekend courses at the centre since march 31 they live in at the centre and receive a basic grounding in conservation education including water conservation flood con trol plant life weather and soil conditions one of tfie highlights of the official opening ceremonies will be a presentation to miss blanche e snell a retired teacher of york memorial collegiate who established one of canadas first conservation education courses in conjunction with the conservation authority in 1953 the course was the forerunner of
