mowat librarian stouffville the past year of 1969 was a successful one in the operation of the stouff ville public library books circulated num bered 40876 of these 22- 739 were adults and 18- 137 children the total figure shows an increase of 3661 over 1968 in addition 186 ma gazines were circulated the number of sub scribers is now approxi mately 2300 there were 704 books purchased in 1969 and 106 books donat ed total cash receipts amounted to 69674 ac- crueing from the sale of cards and fines on over due books no major acquisitions or repairs were made dur ing the year however the hours of library service were extended opening on thursdays in addition to regular days and also re maining open in the sum mer instead of closing down for a vacation period wm a clark formerly of
