page 10 the tribune thursday dec 18 1969 suffers severe coronary during hockey game by eleanor todd goodwood good wood and claremont met last sunday night in what promised to be a well- matched game the teams are in 1st and 2nd place in the uxbridge sunday ni ght league the tension mounted and was broken only after 33 minutes of play when goodwoods ron stewart scored the first goal this was follow ed quickly by another from the stick of ron may but the game became a mechanical thing after that when claremont coach ross redshaw walk ed off the ice feeling ill the crowd knew that it was serious when a few moments later his son jack from the claremont team and his son wayne from the goodwood team were called out ross was rush ed to centenary hospital with a severe coronary the game ended 52 for goodwood but no one real ly cared all talk was of ross redshaw his illness and his love for the game of hockey since fred smith pur chased the foskett proper ty a few months ago he and norman maye have been converting the old blacksmith shop into a gospel hall nightly meet ings will begin at 8 oclock on jan4 and everyone in the community is welcome to attend the first speak er will
