but for small landowners rural estates and in fact every resident id like to report here on the most recent step that is the report given by the committee on farm assessment and taxation to the provin cial government this committee was ap pointed last june by the minister of municipal af fairs in recognition of the impact that market value assessment would have on farm incomes the provincial based on mar ket value subject used by arda under this schedule the maximum rate would be two hund red dollars per acre and the minimum fifteen this would apply only to farm land and the committee defined farm land as land that is pro ducing a farm product and if less than 11 acres in size the gross annual re venue from farm products must exceed two thou sand dollars the committee also recommended that farm land be eligible for ex emption from certain municipal rates if the land does not benefit di rectly from the service as is now provided for in section 37 of the act the final
