healthy state even with my irish background i am obliged to sing the praises of this fair land of ours irish people are usually the last to concede that any other country is better than that em erald island yet there can arise a grave error in our thinking about which country is best the country usually refers to the people and thats quite right a nation is only as strong as its people can you see what i mean when i say that we can make a mistake when we say this coun try is the- best in the world we are really saying we are the best people in the world but what right have we to think that way especially if we are christians president lincoln stated it well when he said he was dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal i realize a lot of peo ple have distorted that monumental statement and they have made it say all men are equal of course anyone who has even a small degree of intelligence knows that statement is not true all men are not lawyers all men are not ministers neither are all men murderers but all men are created equal all men are human all men have an eternal quality we call the soul all men are worth saving now do we think that way in our church work im afraid not church buildings worth millions of dollars are erected on every second corner while millions of people in other lands have to be content with their millions of mis eries is that fair is it fair to say that they are happy as they are generation after generation passes into history and still we have to admit that myriads of people in our world know absolutely nothing of the benefits we possess when will the influence of christ spread to these people do they not need christ do they not need freedom of soul do they not need ed ucation do they not need hospitals if not then neither do we since all men are created equal dr leonard s klinck altona missionary church rev frank huson pastor sunday april 6th 1969 special easter services 1030 am sunday school 730 pm easter
