school plan for annual event stouffville a centennial track and field meet to include athletes from thirteen public and separate schools in the area will be held on the grounds of st marks stouffville this saturday june 17 the event the first of its kind ever orga nized will begin at 9 am and conclude at 4 pm with the presentation of awards student entries from gadcs 4 to 8 will ccrnc from the following schools pine orchard armitagc hillcrest lloyd bloomington lcmonvillc ballantrac lake wilcox glasgow clarcmont orchard park summit view and st marks chief organizers of the meet include mrs betty sanders lcmonvillc gary harrison clarc mont gary grundy orchard park bob stover summitview jack shepe lake wilcox and gino fcrri st marks they hope to make it an annual competition the public is invited a sixlane 220 yard track has been marked out in addition to two high jump pits grouping of entries is according to ages as of june 1 there are four classes junior 9 to 10 years intermediate 11 to 12 years senior a 13 to 14 years and senior b 15 to 16 years added new events include a senior mile relay for boys and girls in senior a and b an open mile for boys all ages a senior girls 440 a senior girls shot put 8 lb and an open half mile for girls eight trophies will be presented to the cham pions of boys and girls in four classes these will be suitably engraved and retained in the
