admitted in a written statement that he broke into the premises of thornleigh wood products on observatory lane in richmond hill detective douglas tribb- ling of the markham town ship police told the court that a screwdriver was missing from the building but it was located later on the premises the officer testified that a sliding door was opened and a window removed enabling the accused to gain entry to two parts of the building quin ney apparently used the screwdriver to force the window the accused who lives in richmond hill explained to the court that serious dom estic problems prompted him to break into the build ing he said that his wife and two children had left left him when he returned from the penitentary quin ney underwent a mental examination in 1959 magistrate o s hollin- by mr roman presented a report to coun cil recommending that the centennial project of the municipality should be the building of a centennial library in unionville that up to 510000000 would be made available for that purpose it was pointed out that this project was chosen because it was felt to be the desire of the people of the township and that the amount of money to be re ceived from grants now and in the future for this project surpassed grants available for other projects the township council adopted the recommenda tion on april isth hand ing the project over to the township library board with the instruction that it aould be desirable to have this first phase o library development on a townshipwide base to be operative by march of 1967 the township library board had been formed tions are now under way with the thornhiu public library to provide free library service to the residents of markham township who would most logically use this library because they live nearby the as the boundaries of the site are known claremont a once- inalifetime reunion was held in the claremont con servation park last week when teachers from the toronto normal school class of 1916 gathered tents which involved considerable time and energy to pack as semble and dismantle said scoutmaster john wilson of paradie avenue markham he went on to explain how the group had used two- man tents placing three cubs in each the units weigh five lbs apiece but still feature the large tent conveniences with water repellant floor covers mosquito nets storm flaps and so on the boys had no difficulty getting them up and taking them down during a quick storm this is a blessing said scoutmaster wilson he was assisted on the camping trip by venturers lois graham and brian wil son the
