by their mothers enjoyed an outdoor party at the home of brown owl mrs g hardie after an enjoyable meal brown owl presented joyce cayman with her golden hand and skaters badge wendy halt received a brownie tea spoon for having sold the high est number of cookies brown owl also presented tawny owl mrs s johnston with a gold maple leaf pin roberta johns ton a brownie autograph book and tanis johnston a brownie handkerchief as a bon voyage token on their coming trip to ireland mr hardie then showed a movie film the evening ended with roberta johnston and barbara miller showing their in for the sea son united church women the june meeting of the u cw was held in the sunday school room on wednesday evening with mrs marcus jar- vis in charge assisted by mrs harold hill mrs don boyd and day the second annual field day sponsored by the dist lions club and the trustes of tsa no 3 was held in the comm centre park on friday after noon the sports events were looked after by the principals and teachers of the schools in the area movies were shown in the larger hall for the children not participating in the sports the projectionists were lions max hazel and gordon draper the committee in charge of the field dav were lions ched woods ed gibson dick jones assisted by lions clarence steckley fraser gee john mc cague george brands and law- son mumberson the children consumed gallons of changed to the week of july 6 please note it is for children on the charge from 4 to 14 years of age and will be held in the church and community centre baseball the schedule for the lions softball
