wm henwood and the minutes were read mr henwood spoke of the initial concern to the pres ent villagerstaxes mr hen wood summed up the attitude of taliden investments ltd as he saw it he prevailed upon those present to come to some attitude or opinion towaids the same development in their own minds this he said was impor tant the chairman then turned to the tax question to deal with it in more detail he outlined the general types of tax structure most likely to affect the residen ts a representative henwood said of the township tax dep artment was asked to be present to answer the questions of the public when he did not appear chairman henwood said he felt stood up it is to be hoped that this action or lack of action is not indicative of the councils stand ir relation to the association if there was some valid reason for the nieeting being ignored they would be glad to hear of it whether or not it was due to late notice received less than twentyfour hours befoie the meeting it was hard to deter mine the eiowd of moie than 225 of one week ago dwindel to less than half that number oth er factors possibly causing this depletion in numbers may have been failing interest or disap pointment at the aims of the draft constitution drawn up last v eek the taliden subdivision seems almost certain subject to coun cils approval and the debate in ems to have resolved itself into a question of disiie to hook up question of desire to hook up to the new facilities that will be provided when the new subdiv ision is built an undercurrent of muted hostility towaids the 400 home subdivision prevailed in a few of the residents however the main function of the association chairman henwood said was to minimize the tax burden and other hardships arising out of the new development a motion was then moved and carried to send a delegation com posed of the executive to the next council meeting to inquire why a representative when ask ed did not atttend the assoc iations meeting
