towns oldest resident passes in 99th year thuruby mvtfa 15 1962 the stouffvue tribune hgt j mrs emma kirby montreal st passed away in brierbush hospital stouffville on friday march 9 1962 in her 99th year having been in the hospital the last two weeks she was born in pickering township on the 4th concession the daughter o the late hannah demond and jacob lapp mrs kirby attended public school at cherrywood a dis tance of more than three miles from her home in 1895 she married george kirby who pass ed away in 1935 after leaving their farm in pickering mr and mrs kiiby took up resi dence in vaughan twp where they operated a gristmill prior to moving to stouffville they resided in newmarket for a number of years mrs kirby has lived here since 1920 akrough a member of the christian church she had not been able to attend for many years the funeial service was held on monday march 12 in the l e oneill funeral cha pel in charge of mr clarence bass pallbeaiers were clifford betz arnold funeral service was held in the chapel of the murray newbigging fu neral home mt pleasant road toronto on monday at 11 am with further service in heise hill brethren in christ church gormley ont at 3 pm inter ment in heise hill cemetery hill mr morgan stanley hill of claremont rr 3 died suddenly at his home on sunday march 11th in his 65th year he was a son of the late william and emmeline of claremont and is survived by his wife the for mer jessie wideman son grant and grandson gary two bro thers george and clayton and sisters maiy mcnally of cal gary alberta and ada dickin son of goodwood also survive mr hill had spent his lifetime in the district as a farmer and was identified with the clare mont baptist church in 1925 he married jessie wideman after resting at the oneill funeral home in stouffville the service was held in the clare mont baptist church on wed nesday march 14 1962 at 2 pm with rev carnegie in charge the pallbearers were neighbours of the deceased alex
