much study claims reeve scott reeve sherman scott informed a packed chambers at the inaug ural meeting of the pickering township council on monday night that there had been some pressure by ratepayers timbers spoke follow ing a few words from rev d davis who offered a prayer of dedication for the new council mr timbers called on the other members of his council to say a few words as well as the town clerk representatives of the puc the banks and press park board is revamped stouffville park board has been revamped for 1962 with a reduction in numbers and a change in members deputy reeve laushway suggested that five members was quite suffi cient for the operation and coun cil agreed in the passing of the bylaw two new members were named being wilf mcwhinney and jas thomas only remaining out side board member will be mrs lesfwilson mr cadieux and mr hassard having resigned the council appointments were councillor gar lehman and dep utyreeve ken laushway while no new park projects are forecast there is consider able business looming for the boards attention additional at tention will be required for the westend park now that it has been properly seeded carctak- ing
