A resolution presented by Mr. Field regarding the Hoilinger Clhb putting a team in the District League caused considerable discussion. Mr. Field ex- plained that he did not favour the I'e- solution himself but simply presented it to get an opinion from the meeting and to set at rest the idea that there was not general cooperation and in- terest among all the football enthusi- asts of the Camp. He thought that for the district effort should be cen- tered on one team tohrepresent'Tirn- mins and' that all should eo-operate to make this season the best yet in foot- ball. "We should win three or four cups this year," said Mr. Field. After discussion Mr. Field withdrew his morion in favour of another resolu, tion moved to the effect that the Tim- mins Football Club went on record as pleased with the.fact that. arrange. ments had been satisfactorily made to have the Hollinger Club form part of the Timmins Football Club for Dis- trict Football, and that one and all (should co-operate and work together ts'iar-- “my; 'ant l in every way for the good of football in the town and distried The meeting endorsed the idea of ,informed'thttt a vermin gentlemailiv- ing down in the new Hollinger town- site had pat his wife and youngster mos: we house{ The Chief grandam if thirtmm Won d be as rude to him and so went down to see. In his opening re) marks he referred to the ever-increas- ing excellence of the Timinins Band and the d'oreapine District Orchestra: and voiced the general opinion that these musical organizations were a decided credit to the town of Tim nuns. He prophezied a day in the near future when, thanks to the 'Radio, inu- sie lovers in centres like Pittsburgh and Toronto would have the pleasure of listening: to concerts My the Tim.. mins Band and the Porcupine Orchesu trus.
