Much credit is due Miss Mary Everard for the lovely floral arâ€" rangements used at the charter dinner of the Porcupine Soroptiâ€" mists on Monday evening. The bouquets were of blue and gold colored miniature chrysanthemums, blue and gold are the clubs colors. . The hand painted place cards done in the decorative scheme were also the work of Miss Everard. . The interesting proâ€" grams which also featured the clubs colors were done by Mrs. Gauthier and Mrs. Mamie Shaheen. Beautiful formals, some sparkling with glitter, others pretty with lace, made a picturesque gathering at the Soroptimist Charter dinâ€" ner in the Rainbew Room of the Goldfields Hotel on Monday evâ€" ening. Gertrude Whiteside, Regicnal Director of Eastern Canada looked ultra in a gracefully cut gown of klack crepe with a corsage of red roses and white miniature chrysanthemums. ; Alice Barry, president of the Soroptimist Club of Windsor wore a black lace gown with large appliqjued pink roses around the low cut neckline and corsage of white miniature chrysanthemums and pink roses. . . Mary Gauthier president of the Soroptimist Club of the Porcuâ€" pine Area, was gowned in a dramatic gown of deep blue velvet with scalloped neckline and corsage of blue and gold miniature chrysanâ€" themums. . .Mary Eyre, Timmins first lady, wore a gown of royal purple trimmed with silver sequins and a beautiful antique cameo at the low cut neckline. . Helen Pare was gowned in muted blue crepe, fuschia colored gloves, a corsage of red roses and white baby mums. . Mamie Shaheen‘s French gown in black was of appliqued net, the low rounded neckline trimmed with tea roses of pure silk. And, . .Sue Morgan wore a gracefully cut skirt of black crepe with bodice of delphinium blue studded with gold nailheads. . .Nora Doran won applause as she attended, in a gown of Victorian green with dramatic front panel, gold kid accessories and necklace of pearls. . Mary Copps gown of black crepe featured a silver lame jacket, she also wore a corsage of pink roses and baby mums, the gift of her son, Edwin Copps, contrikuting editor of Time Magaâ€" zine. . Francis Dickson in chic black velvet with goldâ€"filled choker Jen Lang Cameron wore white crepe with multiâ€"colored sequin trim. .
