On‘ Monday evening, the women‘s organizations of the church comâ€" bined their efforts to serve a Harâ€" vest Home supper in the parish hall. Under the supervision of Mrs. Alfred Nitschkie the hall had been tastefully decorated with flowers and harvest fruits and, vegetables. Harvest Thanksgiving _ _Harve‘s t Thanksgiving â€" services were held on Sunday, September 19th, in St. Paul‘s Anglican Church, with Rev. Mrs. Davis Passes Following a long illness, the death occurred at tne Dome Mines on Thursday, September 23hr, of Mrs. Katherine Davis, wife of J. J. Davis, mill superintendent of the Dome Mines. The pretty waitresses included the Misses Nancy Wilder, Georgina Vickâ€" ers, Patricia Cross, Wendy Cross, Audrey Allen, Ann Neill, Georgina Rodger, Jane Neill. In her 60th year, Mrs. Davis‘ reâ€" cent illness has caused anxiety to her many friends and acquaintances, and sincere sympathy is extended to Mr. Davis and their two sons, Basil, who has only recently returned to Peru after a long "vacation here, and Ross, now in Alaska. Mrs. Davis is survived by her mother, Mrs. Andrew Wood, of Conâ€" nadght, four sisters: Mrs. Susan Wood, and Mrs. Marie McCurdy, of Toronto, Mrs. Bessie Aitchison, of Connaught, and Mrs. M argaret Bowes, of Englehart, and three broâ€" ‘thers, Thomas, of New â€" Liskeard, Peter, of Ottawa, and Andrew, of Port Arthur. Four grandchildren also survive, Nora and John Christopher, Basil‘s children, and Judy and Patricia, Ross‘s children. The body of the late, Mrs. Davis rested at her home at the Dome until Saturday afternoon, when the Reyv. R. J. Scott officiated at the funeral services held in South Porcupine United Church. Interment was in Timmins Cemetery with Walker‘s Funeral services in charge of arâ€" rangements. Pallbearers were: RoBert E.
