On Sunday another musical program was offered including violin selections, vocal solos, piano duets and trumpet selections all of which followed a large banquet during which Mr. Savoy spoke to the gathering, other interesting addresses were heard. and presentations made the winners of the 18â€"hole golf tournament. *â€" Sunday evening ‘Cat 8.30) is the big night for teenâ€"agers, when the ‘"Youth Rally, sponsored by the Junior and Senior branches of the Timâ€" mins Youth Welfare Council, will be held at the Empire Theatre . . . :DUring the evening the object of the Youth Council will be outlined and :fhe group will be acquainted with work already done, and plans that are "Made for the future . .. The gathering will also be asked to name deleâ€" gates who will laterâ€" form a Youth Council, as members now are but temporary . . . A special program has been planned, and will feature Henry Kelneck and his orchestra, and solos by Helen Synos and Adelia Pellizari . .. Also to be featured are impersonations by C "o British war bride recently arrived in Canada, who before her marnage was an English actress, a skit by a group directed by Mark Frank, and Paddy and his Cornâ€"Pickers . . . Among her souvenirs Mary has countless items, including #" beautiful handâ€"processed and handâ€"tooled leather shoulder bag with matching wallets and cases, a Hubert Harmon belt with handâ€"wrought buckle and matching bracelet, handâ€"worked baskets, handâ€"loomed materials, a large sarape, beautiful rings, bracelets and earrings, wood carvings and several articles of Aztec design including wall brackets and candlesticks. Seeing inspiring country, beautiful scenery, meeting famous people, and having something in the line of uiltraâ€"exciting adventure were only a part of her amazing trip . . . Each afternoon being free of studies, Mary spent this time seeing everything possible and picking up valuable and priceless souvenirs . . . To have orchids growing outside her bedroom window, to tour in complete and exquisite Mexican costume, to dine at the Canadian Embassy where members were gracious and diplomatic toâ€" ward their Northern visitor . . . This was only a part of the wonderful trip, as was the adventurous fourâ€"day trip into the tropical jungle, where exotic growth was rampant, and typical animal inhabitants were to be observed. _ During her stay in Mexico, Mary lived with Carmelita Labora, an outstanding painter of miniatures, who is regarded by critics as Mexico‘s present day greatest . . . She also met many world famous professors, threé-year scholarship through the Dominion Government this fall, which would enable her to continue at the university, but instead she has reâ€" turned to hbher teaching at Timmins High and Vocational School .
