The choir sang "On the News has been received by Mr. and Mrs. McKay of Connaught Hill, that their son, Pte. Lawrence McKay, has been wounded on active service on the western front. This is the second time the 20â€"yvearâ€"old soldier has been wounded â€"previously on Féb. 1lith, and has been back in action only a short time. He was serving as a desâ€" patch rider when wounded this time, in Germany. He enlisted in 1942 an: went overseas one year later, serving on Dâ€"day with a Canadian Infantry Regiment. D; B Graham, Ralph Redâ€" den, and P. Douglas each gave evidence of being assauited while woarking at the McIntyre Mine. Suzack is a disâ€" charged soldier having served overseas (in England). The assaults alleged were the results of ta"k concerning his status as a native of Canada and his overseas service. The magistrate in questioning Suzack learned, that he had been in hospital in Toronto, and had required treatment for nervous trouble. He e advice to defendant concerning control of his temper, and will obtain a report of his health from the Military Hospital before giving sentence. The magistrate caused some amuseâ€" ment by remarking that if he were to "beat up" all the people who disagreed witn him and his decisions, he would certainly have his hands full, C. Nikkanen, E.
