Fogg, Limited, John Fogg is one of the earliest residents of the Porcupine Camp, coming*in ito this district over the firstâ€"hewn trails back in 1909. Mr. Fceg stanted his thrniving business in South Porcupine in 1912, when the yrailway line which was later to connect the district with the cutside world only came as far as Kelso, three miles from Porquis Junction. In 1924, the business was incorporated as Jolin Fogg Limited with the office and yard located at its present site, 1 Lang avenue. Born at North Gorham, in Maine, U.S.A., Mr. Fogg came to the North as a young man and established his busâ€" iness here when the young mining camp was just beginning its life. He served on the Town Council for a number of years during the town‘s early history, participating in the making of decisions which diâ€" rected the town‘s growth and progress during its earliest years. Today, Mr. Pogg is still active in the ecimipany‘s business after 31 years At the post. He and his company hold an optimistic view aÂ¥out the future of this part of Ontanio and the reorganization which is being done at the present time is in line with the veteran businessâ€" man‘s expectations for a local business bocm when the watr ends R. L. Hoggarth is Manager Kirkland Lake Branch Former Timmins Man in Charge of Busy Branch. Well known in Timmins and in Kirkâ€" land Lake, where he is now stationed, R. L. Hoggarth has been associated with the firm of John W. Fogg Limited sincs 1924 and is one of the oldest employees in point of service with the company. Today, Mr. Hogarth is manager of branch.
