Mrs. John Clement, of Crawford St., has just returned from Toronto where she was called owing to the death of her daughterâ€"inâ€"law, Mrs. Orbin James Clement, in Toronto General Hospital on October 15th. The deceased lady is well known in South Porcupine, Timmins, and SEchumacher, as she reâ€" sided in the camp for ten years, before leaving a year ago, for St. Catharines. She was Margaret Audrey Newstead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert SBhaw of 153 Winchester St., Toronto formerly of Timmins, and was 33 years of age. The funeral was held on Monâ€" day from the funeral parliors of A. E. Cooke, 721 Bloor W., Toronto, and inâ€" terment was made in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Her husband was employâ€" ed for 10 years on the electrical staff of the McIintyre Mihe and was known familiarly among his fellowâ€"workers as "Ike" Clement. Mr. Alfreqd Pugsley, of the Paymaster Mine, is leaving this week to take charge of a mine near Renfrew which will produce molybdenite needed in the steel industry. Pugsley is president of the local Kiâ€" wanis Club, and on Monday night a number of Kiwanis and friends met in the club room of the curling rink to give himâ€"a suitable "sendâ€"off" party. All had a thoroughly good time, reâ€" freshments being served, and during the evening Mr. W. S. Gardner acting for the Kiwanis ‘Club and friends made a presentation of a walnut fitted cellarâ€" ette. On another charge of failing to notify the department of change of ownership of car he was dismissed.
