No expense is to be spared to promote the various programmes of sports and amusements, which will include ball games, water sports, foot races, tugâ€"ofâ€"war, drilling contests, dancing, etc., and a grand banquet.. There will also be a beauty contest to elect a Queen of the Porâ€" cupine. Cabinet ministers and proâ€" minent members of parliament, as well as outstanding men in public life, will address the people during the days of celebration.
