The young man died on his way to the hospital at Noranda. At the inquest it was shown hat Henry had keen despondent recently over the death of his wife and had talked about ending his life. While his friends had attempted to cheer him up and get his mind from Lhoughts of death, they had not believed that he would do such an act. He borrowed the gun from a friend in another bunkhouse and reâ€" turned to the first bunkhouse to take his own life. When borrowing the gun he explained that he intended to go partridge shooting. "You‘re going to see something you never saw before," Muray Henry, aged 23, is quoted as telling friends at ‘he O‘Brien Mine bunkhouse last week when he woke them up at 4 o‘clock in the morning.
