And from the beach, over the sand packed xoad where autos have a proper parking place a real beauty spot is in the making. A caretaker has cleared all the underbrush around the poplars, graded the land and made it ready for grass seeding. Benches and tablesâ€" real camping styleâ€"are placed near rock openâ€"air fireplaces. Log cabins for the use of bathers, and all conâ€" veniences are there. A charming spot, and the employees of the Buffaloâ€" Ankerite Mine are, we see, enjoying it to the full. It would seem possible that in the future a somewhat similar campâ€" ing park could be made on this side of our Porcupine Lake! What a grand thing it would be for our town if it could be done. This camp is a school for Guide offiâ€" cersâ€"a delightful place to spend a holiâ€" day, and incidentally to get instrucâ€" tion which will benefit the Guide troop here when she returns. Mrs. Leiterâ€" man, Commander of the Night Hawk Lake camp, spent a holiday here last year, and has been able in consequence to do wonderful work among the girls in the Dome Troop.
