The meeting was held in the Orange hali, where a good representation of the members was on hand to welcome the guests. Preceding the meeting, a delightful banquet was held in the Iroquois hotel. A most enjoyable turkey supper, comâ€" bined with all the delicacies, was servâ€" ed, and enjoyed by all. Adding to the success of the banqguet was the excelâ€" lent piano music, played by Miss Peggy Cutten. The Chapter presented Miss Cutten with a small token in appreâ€" clation of her splendid efforts. He states that the comâ€" pany‘s action in moving into this terriâ€" The New Liskeard Company erected a considerable extension to their plant in 1934 and are at present engaged in extending their plate shops and making other improvements. The new Quebec company will have the full benefit of Stone‘s foundry exâ€" perience and their laboratories and technical staff will be available at any time to aid with metallurigical problems. This company has been established at New Liskeard since 1910 and is engaged in the manufacture of mining equipâ€" ment and supplies. Their products are well known in the mining industry throughout Canada and the company has enjoyed export business to hboth South Africa and Australia. They are affiliated with J. Stone Company, Limited, Detford, England, a firm well known in the engineering industry throughout the world. The company have obtained a Quebec charter and the new operations will be conducted under the name of Wabi Tron Works, Quebec, Limited. Operation and management will be under the control of Mr. J. The convention will be held at the Royal York hotel, Toronto, on Thursday, June 2nd, and at 6.15 p.m. the members leave Toronâ€" to by train for Timmins, arriving here at 9.15 a.m,. on Friday, June 3rd. They will leave here Saturday for Kirkland Lake for a visit there, arriving back in Toronto at 7.15 a.m. Sunday. It is the custom of the provincial branch of the CW.N.A. to take a trip to some imâ€" portant section of the province as part of each yearly convention programme. This year they will visit the North. While in Timmins they will be the guests of the Timmins Kiwanis Club, the Board of Trade and the town. Plans are being made for the visitors to see the mines of the district, and there will be a banquet given in their henour on Friday evening, June 3rd.
