TIMMINS, ONTARIO Amos Man Reported Missing Two Weeks Ncranda, April 13.â€"For several days a thorough search has been conducted by the police for Rosario Francoeur, wellâ€"known contractors‘ equipment supâ€" ply agent of Amos who mystericusly disappeared on March 31,« after supâ€" poesedly boarding a General Airways plane at Revillart Lake for Rouyn. He had left Val d‘Or that day, checkâ€" ing oft. of the Val d‘Orchotel and it was known that heâ€"had cashed a cheque at the bank there for $1,000 beâ€" fore he left, also that he had $400 in cash in his potket on his departure from Amos for Val d‘Or. Thought To Be Ill Iliâ€"health may have something to ao with his disappearance, for at iRevillart Lake, situated on the boarder of Cadilâ€" lac and Malartic Townships, wuere ne Roasrio Francoeur Believed to Have Flown to Rouyn, Not Yet Found. was last seen to be identified. Mr. Francoeur took a rest at a cabin, tellâ€" ing the people there he was not feeling well, and asking them to keep watch for a plane to take him into Rouyn. They did as he requested and he left their cabin for the plane. Several days elapsed before a search was made upon Mrs. Francoeur becomâ€" ing alarmed at her husband‘s long abâ€" sence, and the missing man‘s brother came to Rouyn on Friday last to make inquiries and inform the police. Pilot Not Sure The pilot of the plane was unable to say definitely from description if Mr. Francoeur was one of three men who boearded the plane that day at Revillart Lake. All he recalled is that he picked up three men at that point and flew them into Rouyn. The missing man was to have caught the train from Rouyn for Amos that night by the C.N.R., but inquiries have resulted in no trate of his movements since he left the plane, that is, if he was one of the three men who boarded it at Lake Revillart. Both the provincial and police are on the alert for any clues that may lead to the explanation of Mr. Franâ€" coeur‘s disappearance and his whereâ€" abouts, though nc light had been shed on the mystery over the weekâ€"end. Later information from the loctal police is that his brether is reasonably sure Mr. Francoeur reached Rouyn. His description is: Height five feet eight iimrches, weight about 145 pounds, slim of build and fair of complexion. He was last seen wearing a brown windâ€" breaker with zipper, and rubber boots drawn up over his trousers. Suggests that Austria May Cheat Italy by Alliance The age of the missing man, who was an overseas veteran, would be in the early forties. Vienna.â€"In view of the recent Italoâ€" Yugoslay pact, much interest is arousâ€" ed here in the progress made by Ausâ€" tria and Czecchoslovakia in their efâ€" forts for coâ€"operation. Prime Minister Milan Hodza of Czschoslovakia recently visited Vienna at the same time that the Italian Forâ€" eign Minister, Count Galeazzo Ciano, was at the Yugoslay capital. It begins to ‘be aparent that Premier Hodza‘s moves for better understanding between Vienna and Prague are beginning to Bear fruit. Relations between Austria and Italy have ‘been definitely ccol since Preâ€" mier Mussolini, allegedly at Berlin‘s inrnstigation, declined to support the Hapsburg â€"restoration. The result has been an increasingly independent atâ€" titude on Chancellor Schuschnigg‘sâ€" part at Vienna. \ It has been stated here that Preâ€" mier Mussolini: wanted Chancellor Schuschnigg to help him bring Yugoâ€" slavia into the crbit of the Rome Pact, ncow comprising Italy, Aussria and Hunâ€" gary, and thus to separate Yugoslavia from the Little Entente and France. Chancellor Schuschnigg seems to have other ideas, however, all the more so since such a move would also involve closer coâ€"operation with Berlin and the abandonment of all hopes for a Hapsâ€" burg restoration. If Czechoslovakia‘s more recent moves lead to an accord between Austria and Czechcslovakia, it is persumed that Chanchellor Schuschnigg‘s proposed trip to Belgrade would be made under Preâ€" mier Hodza‘s ‘auspices imstead of Preâ€" mier Mussolini‘s. The Czech Premier would certainly desire to introduce his new friends to the other members of the Littile Entente coterie. What is seen here as an act of deâ€" fiente to Premier Mussolini was Sunâ€" aay‘s mcnarchist demonstration, ~in which the Austrian Viceâ€"Cnancellor, Field Marshal Lieut. Ludwig Hulgerth, Chancelor Schuscchnigg‘s personal reâ€" presentative, cstentatiously participated and cheers for Archduke Otto rent the air.
