And if you‘re to be at all fashionable you‘ve got to be beauâ€" tiful and among other things boast a graceful, clearâ€"cut young chinline. Three Steps There seem to be three important steps in any major beauty routine. And so it is with "holding that line." They consist of creaming, exercising and the astringent tieâ€"up. The cream should be of the rich, penetrating type. Any good emollient or nourishing type cream will do, although there are special throat creams to be had that work wonders in keepirg the skin texture soft, smooth, wrinkleâ€"free. line is graceful and young. Vengefuletta and the Cobbler summon the aid of a witch, who promises to work a spell that will put the royal family and all the birthâ€" day guests to sleep for a hundred years. Now, muscles tensed, tip head slowly backâ€"back, turn head to right, then front, then to left shoulder, then front, and back. In other words, rotate the head, but remember slowly and muscles tensedaâ€"feel the stretch. Tieâ€"Up After the exercise, pat with a large pad of cotton saturated with astringent, directly over any remainirg cream. Then comes the tieâ€"up which takes the place <of a chin strap. Wear a chin strap if you prefer. (Copyright, 1936, by the Bell Syndiâ€" cate, Inc.) Chewing (hard chewing) is good. It is even recommended that you chew gum for a few minutes every day (where no one can see or hear you). Thrust chin as far forward as possible and drop the lower jaw as far as posâ€" sible with each chewing movement. ‘"Princess Delmarie, however, who is as universally beloved as her mother is disliked, has a powerful champion in Vengefuletta‘s cat, Machiavelli, who gives her one of his enchanted whiskers to ward off evil spells. Learning of the plot, this wily schemer gets the witch to repeat her charm to him and, findâ€" ing her memory uncertain, confuses her so badly about it that when she manages to break into the birthday party, she repeats the wrong charm, which, of course, fails of its evil purâ€" pose. Machiavelli is the hero of the hour; the Queen, who has insisted on trusting the Cobbler and his tricky elves to guard the palace gardens against the malignant influence of Vengefuletta, is thus discredited by the revelation of the elves‘ treachery, and for once her sadlyâ€"hsnpecked husband gets the upper hand of her. The elves repent of their doubleâ€"dealing, the Cobbler and Venrgefuletta are forgiven for the harm they tried to do, and Princess Delmarie‘s birthday party ends happily for all concerned." Chief Characters like an old elastic band. We don‘t use our chin and neck muséles sufficiently. And the law of gravity wins out, pullâ€" ing the muscles down. Exercise has a lifting in{fluence. Another exercise: The simple one of raising the head slowly upward and back tensing the muscles. Then as slowly let chin drop on chest.
