G,. Fowler presented the auditor‘s report which showed the branch in a very favourable position. A summary of this report will be presented in next week‘s issue of The Advance. After a singâ€"song and a social hour in which The shaftvein has been traced for uver a length of 700 feet. At this point it enters an area of Muskeg. The eastern face of the drift on the 100 feet level shows a width of over 4 feet of quartz carrying visible gold and good mineralâ€" ization. V ALUES:; Considerable gold ore of good commercial grade has been taken from the incline shaft (shaft No. 1, which has been sunk to depth of 100 feet and drifted eastward for 300 feet), and channel assays made have shown an average of $25.50 in gold per ton, figuring the market price at $33.00 per fine ounce. This high value would be revised upward if computed on the basis of present market quotation for gold at $35 an ounce. A large quantity of good commercial ore is now on the dump, while ore developed and blocked out is figured to have a value well in excess of $100,000 on the basis of $35 an ounce for gold. Vein No. 2 referred to in J.C. ROGERS report outcrops in low ground about 300 feet south of No. 2 shaft striking North and South. This vein was uncovered for a length of 50 feet with both ends dipping into Muskeg. JOHN W. MORRISON, Mining engineer sampled over this length and secured an average value of $18.50 across average width of 23 inches. This value taken at $20.00 per ounce. The Spence vein also referred tou shows very spectacular free gold where broken into over a length of approximately 150 feet. Very little work has been done on this vein which lies about 1000 feet north of No. 2 shaft and strikes south. Values indicated by channel samypling of these veins show them to be important and greatly enchances the potential value of the property.
