This crew did nctable work. The fire in the pulpwood gave a basis to stories that eventually went to suggest that bush fires were responsible for the pulpwood destruction. According to the despatches this was not the case. A G@espatch from Devonshire, beâ€" tween Forquis Junction and Cochrane, last week says that twelve nundred cords of the huge stocks of pulpwood on the railway siding at that place were destroved by fire early on Friday mornâ€" ing. The fire is believed to have been of incendiary origin, according to the despatches, and the police are seeking clues as to tfe person or persons thus causing serious loss to the owners of the pulpwood.
