Other Schumacher News, ; «PM MMINS, ONTARIO Dear Sir:â€"Quite number of marâ€" ried women are employed by business men in town. These women are taking the place of single girls and there are many of the latter who cannot secure a position. Many of these girls have graduated from High School, but through being unable to secure a posiâ€" tion are still a burden on their parents who in many cases have had to strugâ€" gle along to give their children a good education. Then when the children ars ready to do a little for themselves they find in many cases that a married woâ€" man is holding down the position they might otherwise have had. One can easily understand a marâ€" ried woman holding a position when her husband is unable to work, due to sickness or actident, but the majority of married women holding these posiâ€" tions have no family and should be at home attending to housechold duties, during this kime of stress and depresâ€" sion, as such position, no matter how Ask Married Women to Give Girls Chanee a splendid paper. It speaks volumes, not only for the work you have done, but for ‘the instruction given to you by your teacher and rector, Rev. R. S. Cushing. It has been our custom in the part to award a medal to the canâ€" didate obtaining the highest standing but we have decided to give the sucâ€" cessful candidate the choice of acceptâ€" ing either a medal or its value in books.
