The funeral of the late Thomas Rich- ardson took place on Wednesday, July 3rd. to Dungannon cemetery. the large attendance and the profusion of beau- tiful floral tokens testifying to the wide circles of friends and the high regard in which the deceased was held by all who knew him. and three girls. seven of them surviv- ing. Councillor R. Richardson. station agent for the T. N. O. at Timmins, is one of the surviving sons. Another son resides at Duluth. Minn. where he is the chief engineer on a freight boat. The late Thos. Richardson was in his 87th year. He was born in Petersfleld. England. but had been a resident of Canada for over 62 years. For a great‘ many years he has been one of the best-known and most highly esteemed farmers in the Goderich district, also engaging in the threashing business for some 25 years. The late Thos. The idea behind the organ- ization is a splendid one. Premier Ho- ward Ferguson has gladly furnished a trophy for annual competition. The officers of the association were hoping to have sections in the 800 City. the Nickel belt. North Bay city; Northern Ontario to include Iroquois Falls. Cochâ€" rane and Timmins. central group to include Cobalt. Haileybu'ry, New Lis- keard, Kirkland Lake. Englehart. and a southern group including Chalk River, Pembroke and neighbouring towns. While away he attended the 49th an- nual meeting of the Toronto Medical Association in Hamilton, also the Can- adian Medical Association in Montreal. Dr. L. E. Roche has severed his con- nection with the hospital here and left on Thursday. July 4th. F. H. Anson, accompanied by M13. Anson and family, left Saturday. June 29th for Williamson, New York. Harbi- son and Howard Hill were unfortunate enough to have the car in which they were driving back to the Falls from Timmins turn over in a ditch just this side of Connaught and both men were more or less seriously injured.
