In the first period both Special teams worked hard but seemed to be testing each other out. There was nc _score in this spasm. The Porkies chargâ€" ed the Dome citadel and a scramble resulted in which McWilliams, the Dome goalie, was knocked down. After two minutes of play Sam i Stovell scored for the Dome. Pete Mill refereed the game, keeping the boys down to hockey and it was so fast at times that Pete himself had to hurdle the boards to keep out of the players‘ way. The attendance was not very large but those present enjoyed the brand of hockey dished up. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hendry have opened their home and hearts to a bonny fourteenâ€"months‘ old baby boy who was left an orphan. We congraâ€" tulate this little man on his choice of parents. Mr. C. V. Gallagher has returned from Woman Lake in the Red Lake area. Mrs. W. Gagnon and little son, Gerâ€" ald, are visiting Mrs. Gagnon‘s parents at Cobalt. The whole district sincerely symâ€" pathizes with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hall in the seriqus illness of their only son, Franklin, who was taken sick aA week ago. On Sunday a trainfusion of blood was given him. Mr. Jim Fell supplying the blood. Others have been ready if more was needed. We unâ€" derstand oxygen is being used this afternoon and the stricken boy is still holding his own in the grim struggle. While torn with‘ anxiety over the fate of their little son, another blow came to Mr. and Mrs. Hall this morning when a telegram arrived from Toronâ€" to bringing the sad news of the death there from pneumonia of Mrs. Hall‘s sister, Miss Elsie Smith. The late Miss Smith has frequently visited here and won many friends whose hearts are full of sympathy for Mrs. Hall who is prostrated at the blow and under the care of the nurses at the Porcupine hospital, where her little son is also being cared for.
