THOUSAND PEOPLE TD [TAKE PART IN THE MOTOR TREX Mr. Alee M. Dewar, president of the Northern Ontario _ Associated Boards, has furnished The Advance with further particulars of the motor trip from the North to the South. Details of the plans in regard to the motor trip from Northern Ontario to Toronto will be issued in a few days. Billie Latour The trip from this part of the North will start from Cochrane, alâ€" though cars from Smooth Rock Falls, Kapuskasing, ete., will take part. All the towns down the line will join in. About 100 cars have planned for the trip. In all there will be some 250 ecars with 4 to a car, making 1000 peoâ€" ple in all. It is only onee or twice in time that you have a chance of like that, and everyone who ha and can possibly get off should ear in the procession. Laundressâ€"Allâ€"right, lady, but an electric washer don‘t give you no gosâ€" sip.â€"Tips. It is not the intention to have the cars travel together, but either singly or in small groups. The date of Northern Ontario Day at the \*ational Exhibition has been fixed for Sept. 7 This is the plan of the Hon. Wm. Fm layson who originated the idea. The procession will reach Toronto at noon A meeting will be arranged within the next fe\x days when the details in connection with the trip will be deâ€" finitely arranged. Housewifeâ€"WV an electric washe vou any more. on the 6th. The night before will be in the neighbourhood of Orillia and Barrie. From there the motorists will be formed into procession, headed by Police, Board of Trade cars, Motor League cars, ete. All the cars will carry a banner marking them plainly from Northern Ontario, and each member of the party will have an individual badge. As far as accommodation in Toronâ€" to is concerned, many of those going will stay with friends. Others will go to hotels, and these will have to make their own arrangements or reserâ€" vations. Others again will want to go to boarding houses. This is being arranged by the Northern Committee. Each man who hands in his name beâ€" fore that date will be given a boardâ€" ing house where he can stay at reasonâ€" able rates. _ Others who take tents along, will be provided with camping places. Another feature of the arrangeâ€" ment which is very important is the arrangements for eating and sleeping on the journey. The central commitâ€" tee in the North is making a canvass of the places along the road where meals An exact programme of the trip has not been finally decided on but will include luncheons, a dinner, a couple of receptions and perhaps a moon light trip on the lake. The Government the Board of Trade, the Motor League, the City and the Exhibition have made vyery elaborate plans for the entertainâ€" ment of the delegates. In addition to the official programme the government has arranged that any cars who wish to visit Niagara Falls, the Agriculâ€" tural College or any other point, by notifying their own Northern Ontario Committee, will have full arrangeâ€" ments made for police attention, parkâ€" ing spaces and guides.
