Following the investigations hy . the police three arrests were, made. ‘Two of theseâ€" ‘a man and a womanâ€"were released after questioning. The third person arrested was J. B. Ruskino, who is still held at Ansonville jail. The police claim that Ruskino was the last person to be seen with the late Henry Jones previous to his death. It is believed that Jones: was killed on Sunday night, Feb. 7th, or on Monâ€" day morning early. The police say they have evidence to show that Rusâ€" kino was seen.at the Jones shack on the Sunday afternoon, and neighbours bheard him speaking inside on the same evening. The police figure that trouble over women was the cause of the tragedy. While some money and a gold watch were taken from the dead man‘s shack, this robbe : suspected to be only a side issue, as the blacksmith would only have a few dollars on him. It is understood that he caghed a small cheque on the SNaâ€" turday evening, but this was only for about twenty dollars and from this a couple of small accounts were paid, Adjourned Inquest Into Death of Henry Jones Will be Taken Up on Friday. He has been wanted on a theft charge from Nofth Bay for about eighteen months. â€" This charge was enough to hold him on. The charge is the theft of $200.00 from a washerwoman at North Bay. Taking advanâ€" tage of the special interest at present in new camps and new mines, they are attempting to induce people to give up old and reliable stocks of established value in exchange for new issues of unproven worth,â€"to put the matter in the kindest possible way. These highâ€"pressure salesmer apparâ€" ently secure lists of the shareholders of established companies, and on inâ€" terviewing these prospects offer to trade the shares in some worldâ€" famous property for a shining star like the Holeâ€"inâ€"theâ€"ground Mine that has yet to be proven up. They conâ€" fuse the issue by loud talk of the forâ€" tunes made by ‘"‘getting in on the ground floor.‘* They suggest that the established mine has reached its peak and that the wildâ€"cat (as it often is) is about to start a spectacular career. No one will lose by turning aside from these highâ€"pressure salesmen. To listen to them means almost certain loss. Keep all the good stocks you may hold. They were never better worth holding than toâ€"day. The highâ€"presâ€" sure salesmen are making a cléanâ€"up by these tricks in the cities; do not let them make suckers of the people of the North. Trust your banker or your ‘broker, but tell the highâ€"pressure guy to quit kidding. There of promising new properties that may mean big money. You can learn of these from any reputable financial house. But turn off the highâ€"presâ€" sure salesman until such time as you can learn of a single ease where the highâ€"pressure stuff put money in anyâ€" body‘s pocket but the salesman‘s.
