The St. Mary‘s Journalâ€"Argus comments on this change as follows: big change is taking place in the attitude of local investment houses towards the mining industry of Northern Ontario. Murdock â€" Gives Pleasing Review of the _‘ Work of the Past Year. 5 \The regular meeting of the Timâ€" mins Kiwanis Club on Tuesday noon at the Empire Hotel proved one of the most interesting events of the year. There were about 40 members at the luncheon and all were pleased with the proceedings generally. The President for 1925, Mr. C. R. Murdock, gave a â€" comprehensive roview â€" of the activities â€" of the Kiwanis Club for the year closing, and there are also a brief but very able addresis by the new President, Mr. Robt. Dye. Preâ€" sident Dye concluded his apt remarks by reading a clipping from The Lonâ€" don (Ergland) Daily News. This clipping was of special interest to the Kiwanis. It is given elsewhere in this issue The Advance. In his review of the Club‘s activiâ€" ties during 1925, President Murdock referred specially to the high standâ€" ard of the addresses by members and by visitors. Three addresses were specially singled out as of outstandâ€" ing interest and importance, these beâ€" ing the addresses by Dr. Forbes Godâ€" frey, Minister of Health for Ontario, Dr. Conboy, and Mr. H. W.‘Darling, the latter taking as his title, ‘‘The Business Man‘s Best Bet.‘" Presiâ€" dent Murdock had special mention for: the excellent address by Dr. Conboy on the importance of the care of the teeth in the interests of the general public health.
