Glendon is visiting friends in North Bay.~ Pozetti‘s team beat Mill A. in a slow game to the tune of 14 to 8 on Monday. Pozetti‘s team is learning the game rapidly and surprised Mill A. considerably. Our meetings have so far been voted a success and no one should miss them. (From the Broke Hustler ) The two big 25 cyele generators at Island Falls were first turned over on November 6th, and on November 9th, juice was supplied for lighting the plant and camps, The first electric boiler is expected to be in commission on or about Dec. Ist, at Island Falls The wiring is complete and as soon as the piping is done for the boiler the juice can be turned on and steam generated. The boiler consists of three iron tanks with an electrode in each and the tanks connected and erounded. Be reasonably sure before becomâ€" ing unreasonably positive. Club added another to the record of successful events this fall last night, when an excepâ€" tionally large attendstnee was present for the evening‘s meeting. Cards and dancing were the programme last night, Messrs J. Jacobs, M. Belanger and W. B. Andrews being the comâ€" mittee in charge of this event, and to this committee the thanks of the Club is due for the success attending the annual card party of the Club. Bridge was played, Mrs. N. Leamen winning the ladies‘ first prize, and W. B. Andrews the gentlemen‘s first. The consolation prize was won by Miss Ruby Hawkins. After the cards, and the serving of refreshments an enjoyable hour was spent in dancin«. The Club Orchestra furnishing the music. â€" Mr. E. L. Urquhart, Viceâ€" president of the A.S8.D. Club, eompliâ€" mented the committee in charge of the evening on the success attending their, efforts, and annuonced that the meetâ€" ing next Wednesday will be a Visitor‘s Night. Misses Birdie Hill, Nellie Studor, and Messrs R. Hoggarth and H, Shantz will be in charge of this event. Each member is entitled to ask some guest, ineligible for memberâ€" ship in the A.8S.D., to be present that evening as a guest of the Club. An enjoyable time is assured all. ARNNUAL CARD PaRTY aT A. 8. D. CLUB LAST NIGHT â€"Making Paper Exchange.. as ever. While on a hunting trip two boys were lost in the bush near North Bay on Saturday. Search parties went out after the lads.on Sunday and at noon on Monday found the two boys in a shack where they were suffering from cold and exposure and in a few hours more would likely have died from the lack of food and warmth. They were cared for and returned home to the Bay practically as well The next meeting of the St. Matâ€" thew‘s Social Club will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24th, starting at 8 p.m. An interesting and diversified proâ€" gramme has been arranged, and all may be assured of a good time. Any atendants of St. Matthew‘s Church of 16 years or over is eligible for membership, and will be given a very hearty welcome. A.
