The Timmins boys got away and from a series of play at mulheld Satrang secured and beat (rumpton all the way with a hard fast shot onâ€" the ground. This tied up the score and caused great enthusiasm among the spectators. ‘ The opening exchanges are a bit ragged, the players seeming to be overâ€"anxious to score, rather than make an opening. The telephone was also busy answering enquiries from both town and disâ€" trict, many of the Dome, Schumacher, South Poreupine, Iroquois Falls and other places ealling in for particulars. The game did not start until four o‘clock. Just before the opening of the gcame a "‘flash"‘ came through tellâ€" ing of the lineâ€"up. Then followed a running story of the match play by play. There was only one interrupâ€" tion to the service and that was after about half the second period was gone. It appears that the rain and storm put the special wire out of business on the Stadium grounds at Toronto, and the balance of the report had to be relayed from the Stadium by phone to the Toronto office of the telegraph company for transmission north,. Mr. Pat Larmer acted as announcer, and his powerful voice was just built for the job. He made a hit with the crowd by his clear announcements. The erowd followed the report with the keenest interest, though naturally disappointed with the result.
