The house was owned and occupied by Mr. Desjardins. The cause of the fire is not known, but the blaze had conâ€" siderable grip before it was discoverâ€" ed.. Much of the upstairs was gutted before the sfire was stapped. The damage will run between $400.00 and $500.00. covered by insurance, there being $1000.00 insurance on the proâ€" perty which is worth considerably more than that amount. The furmâ€" ture in the house was saved from damage by water and smoke by reâ€" moyal from the burnin,. building.
