Mr. Smith, who has conâ€" ducted the Veteran House for some time past, points out the unreasonâ€" ableness of this story, in view of the fact that he has a lease that does not expire until next April, Despite denials, however, the story had a tendency to persist for some reason or other, and of course such a story is not conductive to business for the Veteran House. _ Accordingly Mr. Smith desires it to be known that the Veteran House is continuing as hereâ€" tofore under lus management . and that he is permanently located there. with © the Railway and Municipal Board, and it was felt that a visit from the three members of the Onâ€" tario Railway and Municipal Board would be of allâ€"round advantage. The members have never visited Timâ€" mins and a visit here would unâ€" doubtedly give them a much clearer appreciation of cireumstances and conâ€" ditions. The Secretary was asked to write the Railway and Municpal at such long range. ‘The ‘Toronto Board of Trade thought all such quesâ€" tions could be advantageously taken up at the Associated Boards of Trade. The Timmins Board fully believes this, but some members of the Associated Boards object to all such questions as being ‘‘local‘‘ matters. _ The letter from Toronto will be read at the Asâ€" sociated Boards meeting. President â€" Wallingford _ suggested that the Timmins Board of Trade exâ€" tend an invitation to the members of the Railway and Board of Ontario to visit this Camp as the guests of this Board of Trade. The minutes of the previous meetâ€" ing. and the correspondence read showed the progress being made in regard to business dealt with at preâ€" vious meetings.
