BEAR HAS A LOT OFP FUN IN SILVER CENTRE TENT Yours truly, C. N. Ham, Chairman Express Traffic Association The Northern News last week says: ©A bear which imitated the exâ€" ample of the historiec Jack Spratt and his worthy spouse, who licked. the platters clean, made his presence known in the Silver Centre. section the other day. Bruin invaded the tent of a prospector during the abâ€" sence of the owner and, among other things he pulled off, and broke a botâ€" tle of jam on a stump, disposing of the contents without damage to himâ€". self by cleaning off the glass fragâ€" ments, with his tongue. The visitor from the woods likewise sampled the canned goods stored in the tent, the lmodus operâ€"andi being his sharp teeth through the tins of pork and beans, etc., and suck the conâ€" tents through the openings thus made. Bruin seems to have climed the ridge pole of the tent and then to have lost his balance, falling into the inâ€" terior somewhat precipitately and landing on one side of the table. His abrupt descent appears to have rufâ€" fled his temper, as he pitched the ‘stove through the tent and tore up the mosquito net, blankets and matâ€" tresses on the bed into small pieces.‘‘ There is a difference between fishâ€" ing and catching fish.
