Cadman got the ball to Satrang who took a long shot and Hendry fisted over. _ The corner was cleared and the Dome got both matches, they have lived up to their reputation, and it is hoped they will be lucky enough to have some home matches in the remaining #ixâ€" tures. The draw has not been made yet for the next round, although it was published in another paper that it had been made. The results of the matches so far were:â€"Timmins at Kirkland Lake, score was 2â€"0 in favour of Timmins; and last Saturday they defeated the Dome at the Dome 4â€"1, the Dome‘s goal going in off Liddle‘s body. ‘The feature of Saturday‘s match was the refereeing by Mr. Meath of Kirkland Lake. The first half opened up with the Town having much of the argument. The Hollinger seemed to hold back and when they did get going their passes were intercepted. The Town pressed hard but were kept out of danger for half an hour. Then Roberts came down and centred. Jackson headed the pass but Dedrickâ€" son booted clear only to have Dunn follow up and score. The Town were awarded two corners after this, but both {vere cleared out of danger. Hendry ran out to save and handled the ball out of his area and a free kick was awarded. The whistle blew for half time before tlhus could be taken. Halfâ€"time seore, 2â€"1. play now and the forward combinaâ€" tion was just like clockwork. A. Cadman was the next to have a shot, but booted over the bar. SatPang ‘ame down and beat Butt, but Butt, thought it smart in tripping Satrang. The referee was smarter and awarded a penalty, which Satrang took and scored. _ Hendry again saved from Satrane and stood holding the ball when Cadman again made him bounce it out again for a corner. Street put in a fine flag kick; Cadman headed to Pettersen the latter scoring. The play went over to the left. _ Fergy passed to Dunbar. Hendry ran out and pulled Dunbar down by the shoulâ€" der. He was promptly warned. â€" Timâ€" mins was caucht offside at the free kick. The Dome went down again. Goodman got dangerous and Fergy gcave them a corner in stopping: the pass. â€" The corner kick was a good one and Cooper was called on to clear and sent the leather to Dunbar. â€" Satâ€" rang got the pass and shot wide. The match was nearing the end when Hendry again tried his smart stuff on Dunbar by trying to bring him down acain. He however, got the worst of it. Dunbar dodged and Hendry came down with a heavy thud. The specâ€" tators were now yelllno ‘‘Give the Dome a kick at the ball.‘‘ They did. Elrick ran out to save, giving them a corner, which was irultless, and their last kick was when Walker again shot wide. The Second half started off with Timmins on the offensive and forced a corner which was cleared. _ The Dome got in close but were pulled up for offside. The Dome missed a fine chance when Walker had the goal at his merey; his shot, however, went yards wide. At the other end Hendry saved from Street. The Dome came down again and a free. kick was awarded them just outside the penalty area. Kellow took the kick and used bad judgment, the ball going wide. Timmins had the Dome beat at every Mr. Meath, Kirkland Lake, referee. Messrs Munro and A Roberts, Sr., linesmen. Timmins worked well; the defense was sound, and the halves intercepted and fed well; while the forwards were combining w ell and helped the halves by running back to check. For the Dome, Fell worked hard at back and is a good sprinter. Sandy Harrower was the best half. Buvbby directed the attacks, while Shorty Goodman and Walker were the best forwards. Dougall and Robson both worked hard. Right after the change of ends, Adamson beat his way throuOh the backs, and Dedrickson made a fine save of his shot. The Hollinger came down in combination, the leather going from Pettersen, Satrang to Landers The latter shot wide. The Hollinger forced a corner and Landers sent in a fine flag kick. Cadman fisted clear. At the other end Dedrickson saved a shot from Lambles‘s pass. Fergy cleared one, while Dedrickson and A. Cadman cleared the other two. The Hollinger now pressed and a lively time ensued in the Town‘s area. Reâ€" lief came when Short kicked over.
