Woods, of Schumacher, left this week for Toronto where he will visit for a few days, then going on to New York, where he expects to take passage for England. The Band Stand will likely be ready for use inside a week. The H.S. Entrance exams commence next Wednesday, June 24, continuing on the 25th and 26th. Several local radio fans report hearâ€" ing (General Electric Station W.G.Y.. Schenectady, N.Y., broadcasting the whole Sparks Cireus programme â€"last Monday evening. Others report the reception as none too good. All, howâ€" ever, were interested in the broadcastâ€" ing, particularly in view of the fact hat the Cireus is to be in Timmins this coming Saturday. Chisholm met with a painful and unusual accident while golfing some days ago. _ A ball that had been driven down the fairway struck a rock®"and rebounded, hitting Mrs. Chisholm in the face and causing severe pain and swelling.
