More ‘*Dome Foam.‘"‘ Last week saw two good clean gcames of soccer, the first a P.D.E.L. vame between the*~Hollinger Recreaâ€" tion Club and a Dome team composed for the greater part of players who hbave not been playing on the regular lineâ€"up for past games; Butts and Reynolds being the only two who had played at the fiasco at Timmins the night before. The Holly Ree. played a gentlemanly game and the home team while not being as good in the agerevitte as our regular lineâ€"up, they put up a hard sportsmanlike tussle, the Holly going home quite happy each, and that was the final seore. Geordie Ritchie handled the whistle, and gave general satisfaction. _ Two of the Dome players in particular are worthy of mention for their good work, especially as they haven‘t had much practice this year. They are Hodgson and Fred Hitt, and with ]udlmous coaching and more experâ€" ience these two will be: worth watchâ€" The Dome were lucky at the N.O.F. A. meeting in the draw for the Onâ€" tario Cup, they drawing a Bye in the first round, while Timmins plays the Lake at Kirkland. The final for this district is to be played at the Dome, the winners of the first round, playing the Dome at home. The Soft Ball League (local) had only one game this week when the Mill beat the Miné 13 to 8. In the District League, the Dome Athleties played a humâ€"dinger of a zcame with the Timmins A.S.D. Club, the Dome winning fourteen to thirâ€" teen; and on Monday evening the Tripods met the Schumacher boys and the fans were treated to highâ€"class Soft Ball, the score at end â€"of the 2nd half of the 5th innings being three to two, a concrete evidence that both teams were playing great ball. _ A home run by Geo. Mason in the 6th with the bases crowded kinder cinched the gcame for the Tripods and another The second L w # *4 # + # .0 ## * % ## #.% ## *# ® #* L d ## ## *# . % *# #.% * % #4 #4 #* # 4# #* # # #4 # < ez * # ##4 # *# ## *# #% ** *# # #4 *# + 44 #@ # ## # # *#* + *s * "% «* ## # *# #* # L *4 # # 4@ *# # *# *# # #* # «+ ## # # #4 * # #4 * # ## # 4 ## #% *4 #@ # #4 # #@ #4 # # *4 < # ## # # #4 # # #4 + # ##% * *# *4 + #% #4 + *# ## # *# ## # # #% %4 +/* 4> ## #® # * * #* # *# salp« # # ##4 # # *4 # # 44 *# + ## # La #4 # L *# *# # #4 *4 t# *# # t# # # 4# # # ## *# La *# # *4 * + ## ho d $ THE PORCUPINE ADVANCE, TIMMINS, ONTARIO * .0 #4 #*4 # #4 44 # # *4 * 4 ##* * *# #4 #@ *# #€ # *# #* *# Li #@ # #% #* * # #+ * # #4 @ + #+* # #© #4 # # #* +, # #* #4 * # 44 *# # d4 4 # e o e es PMAAA q 4 .“.“ .00.“ .“ .“ .“. #4 * h #4 *# 4 #* * *# *4 @ #@ e "xr" e**+ @4 *# 4 #4 € *# #* *# t #4 * # #* * 4+ #* *# #% #+ * # * # #* @ *s oo‘«.n:o # #% fecfeofectocioc * 4# *# “.“.” La ¢ *.,*, *# # 44 * 4 #* # # in #@ 4 #4 # € #4 * 4 *4 4 #% # # #*% *# 4 #4 # © #4 * 4 d# 4 #* *#* # 4 #* *# 4 #% # 4 ne ce nc ns n mm ns ore omm m P t n mA Aa e e P #4 + A #4 PATRECIA ROONEY Beautifulâ€"Gracefulâ€"Daring, America‘s Foremost Horsewom ed a sensation at all Eastern Horse Shows, now a feature in the 7th finished the scoring.
