GREENBERG Associated Boards of Trade To Consider Tour of North Matter of Tour of District West of Cochrane Will be Deâ€" cided at Meeting at Englehart, June 10th and l1th. Change of Name of Associated Boards Also to be Up Again. Five Resolutions From Mattice Board of Trade. Hon. J. S. Martin, Minister of Agriculture to be One of the Speakers at the Banquet. Interesting Meeting Englehart on Wednesday and Thursâ€" day of next week, June 10th and 11th. The programme as announced by the Secretary of the Associated Boards is as follows :â€" June 10thâ€"Arrival, at noon. Busiâ€" ness session at 1 p.m. Adjournment at 5 p.m., to meet Hon. J. S. Martin, Minister of Agriculture, at the Station Banquet, by the Englehart Board of Trade, at 7.30 p.m. Hon,. Mr. Martin will he one of the speakers. June 11thâ€"Business session at 9 am.â€" Trains leave at noon for north will be many important quesâ€" tions before the quarterly meeting of the Associated Boards of â€"Trade at Aa.m. ArAIns 1IC4Vve db 1OQULL LOUL AUGLLAL and south. Delegates from Timmins and the Porcupine will have to leave on the early morning train on Wednesday, 10th. It is expected that a full deleâ€" gation will go from here, as there are many important matters to beâ€"discusâ€" sed, and also Englehart is well known for the finest hospitality, so an interâ€" esting and pleasant visit is assured. The last meeting of the Associated Boards at Englehart remains in the minds of all as one of the very best meetines of the Associated Boards. One of the questiona to be degided} at the meeting is the matter of the proposed tour through the _ district from Cochrane west to Hearst or I\apubl\asm which was endorsed at the last quarterly meeting in Timmins. On account of the Celebratlon and Field Day at Kapuskasing Experimenâ€" tal Farm on August 7th the suggesâ€" tion is now made that the tour be planâ€" ned so that the itinerary will include the Field Day at Kapuskasing. The whole tmp is planned to occupy five or six days. It is desired that deleâ€" gates to Englehart know ‘how many of their local board members can take in the proposed trip. ‘Phere is A resolution from Troquois {Falls Board of Trade suggesting that the tour be made in August, to indlude the Field Day at Kapuskasing. There are a couple of resolutions regarding a change in the name ‘ the Associated Boards. At a prex i= ous meeting the name was changed to "Temiskaming and ‘Cochrane Associâ€" ated Boards of Trade.‘‘ This is felt to be somewhat confused the word ‘©Cochrane‘‘ to many perhaps signiâ€" fving the town of Cochrane rathet than the dlistnict of the same name. Iroquois Falls would remedy this by changing the name to *‘ the Vorthern Ontario Associated Boards of Trade.‘ The Falllsil%oard has a resolution to this effect. Hearst has a resolution suggesting the insertion of the word HOLLINGER WINS FPROM HOLLY RECREATION CLUB On Saturday last the Hollinger added another two points to their credit in the P.D.F.L. standing by defeating the Holly Recreation Club 5 to L. The. Light Blues made a slight ehange on their lineâ€"up by strength- ening their pivot man, H. Shaw going in centre. The lineâ€"up was as follows :â€"â€" Hollinger: Dedrickson, goal; Hethâ€" rington and Roberts, backs; Short, Anderson and Stephenson, halfâ€"backs; Dunbar, Dunsmore, Petterson, Satrang and Landers, forwards. Holly Recreation: â€" Elrick, goal; Collings and Stodden, backs; H. Johnston, Young, and Thompson, halfâ€" backs; Hamilton, Criss, Shaw, Youlâ€" ton and F. Johnston, forwards. The Hollinger pressed at the start and gave Elrick one to save. Soon after, another shot hit the croms bar. The Light Blues got in some nice Johnston heat the ball down and centered. The well placed shot was cleared. The Light Blues| kept up their combination and got right in; the ball hit the eross bar andl rebounded into play, H. Johnston kicking over the bar. Before being relfeved Dedrickson ‘had anothen to save. â€" Then the Hollinger took up the play. Petterson gave Dunsmore pass but he missed an . open net. Satrang and Petterson went through, Elrick clearing. The Hollinger kept un Oothe mressure. Petterson gave Assured. up _ the pressure. . PCLLELSOI _ _ Dunsmore another pass but Elrick cleared this nice shot The _ light blues broke away again and â€" gave Dedrickson two more nice shots to save. â€" The ball went from end to end. Both teams conceded a corner, â€" but were fruitless. The mateh was thirtyâ€" two minutes old when Ratrang scored on Petterson‘s pass. Soon after Dunâ€" bar had a chance on an Oopen net but **%: THE PORCUPINE ADVANCE, TIMMINS, ONTARIO ‘"‘District,‘‘ the title thus reading, "the Temiskaming and Cochrane District Boards of Trade."‘ There are five resolutions to submitted from Mattice Board Trade, as follows:â€" 1. That the Associated Boards of Trade lend their assistance in having a bridge Built over the Missinab River at Mattice for the followng reasons : There are about seventyâ€"five settlers living west of the Missinabi â€"Raiver who have to come to Mattice for both their supplies and mail. There are also children going to school. Both these have no other means of crossing the Missinabi River than by the C.N. R. bridge which is not only contrary to law ‘but most dangerous. 2. That the building of the rail~ road station at Mattice be asked for as soon as possible. 3. That the Canadian â€" National Railway be asked for a permanent agent for Mattice, 4. That the trunk road ‘be gravelâ€" led this springe across the townsite from Missinabi River going east. 5. That the Secretary write to Mr. Cope to ask assistance in having 4 railroad crossing built at the west end of the siding at Mattice. Englehart Board of Trade suggests a restriction in the boundaries of the Associated Boards of Trade territory, submitting the following resolution to the meeting:â€" "©That whereas this Board believes that the new boundaries of the juris‘ diction of the Associated Boards of Trade, as changed at the last quarter- ly meeting at Timmins, Ont. is detriâ€" mental to the proper functioning of the Associated Boards, owing to the excessive distances necessary â€" to travel, and whereas our problems are not the same as the district along the Transcontinental, it is therefore reâ€" solved that we ask the support of the Boards along the T. N.O. Railway to have the district Boundaries conâ€" firmed to towns allong the T. N.O. Railway and its branches.‘‘ Timmins has two resolutions before the meeting, one in regard to the road to Wawaitin and the other relative to the road south of the Mattagami River along the base line. Other questions to come before the meeting will include the ever present wood problems, forest fire protection, etc., etc. The banquet on Wednesday evening, June 10th, will no doubt beâ€"a memorâ€" able event. The speakers for the 0ocâ€" cassion wil} include Hon. J. S. Martin, Minister of Agriculture for Ontario. In the second half the light blues forgot their combination and _ could not do anything to stop the Hollinger onrush, but the right back and Elrick pulled off some nice saves. Stephenâ€" son was making some fine interceptâ€" ing, while Aunderson fed his forwards well. The two wings made some nice centre passes. Satrang got three more goals, ‘but equal credit can go to Petâ€" terson who does not seem to bother about getting goals, but works hard for an opening for others to score. Dunbar got the other goal. All the goals were well placed and Elrick had his time well taken up during this half and did well. Near the end the light blues managed to beat Dedrickson on a nice shot. The three old: juniors was too far away for a good shot. The first half, Hollinger 1, Recreâ€" ation 0. playing for the Hollinger are showâ€" ing up well, especially A. Roberts who is filling up Haly‘s place at back and is fast becoming a firstâ€"class back. Landers and Dunsmore are playing fine wing games. The light blues are improving but want to keep up their combination to get points. _ This was the third match in three successive nights for most of the Holâ€" linger team. GRAND ORGANIZER L. 0.
