Parks is away for a few Week‘s for the benefit of his health and all will be pleased to know that he is benefitting greatly from the well earned rest. He is at \Vhitevale, near Toronto. The service at the Presby- terian church on Sunday morning last was taken by Miss Quick, whose ad- dress was an unusually inspiring and effective one. Mr. E. L. CALEDONIAN‘S HOLD SECOND SUCCESSFUL MASQUERADB The second. Masquerade Dance this season by the Calledouian Society of 'l‘immins in the H'ollinnger Recreation Hall on Friday evening last .proved a very happy and successfu'l event. The attendance was very large total- ling between 175 and 200, and the majority of those present were in costume. The costumes were noteâ€" worthy for interest and originality, and the jiidges had a very difficult time in deciding upon the prize win- ners. The young people in charge of the programme for the evening looked after the judging. The following were the prize winners as announcei?‘ Mr. Larry 'M'unphy, Mr. M‘cTaggar , Mrs. R. B. Simzm-s and Miss Me- N augh ton. The Dutch costume of Mrs. Si-mms was a particularly good one and complete in every detail. There were chocolates for the young- sters in costume, all of the boys and girls in costume being cleverly garb; ed for the occasion. The 'President of the Society, Mr. D. Mackie, occu- pied the chair during the early part of the evening, and Mr. P. 'Larmer, the secretary, presiding during the latter half of the programme , the iPresident being called away.
