Mr. and Mrs. Plowiwan, of Marâ€" mora, have been the guests of their daughter, Mrs. 8. Tennyson, during the festive season. Mr. and Mrs. Plowman intend remaining in town for an extended visit. Owing to serious illness, Mrs. J. Bonnell was taken to Toronto General Hospital last week. We hope to hear favourable reports at an early date. Mr. James Woods spent Christmas with friends at Golden City. ‘ Mr. Richard Elley, of Iroquois Falls, is visiting at his home here, The new Maple Leaf Theatre was opened to the public on Friday evenâ€" ing Dee. 26, with a very large attenâ€" dance. The attendance this year was very much greater than upon any previous _ occasion.
