We are all aware of the fact that the deâ€" mand at present for power is very heavy and the power companies are having all they can do to meet these requirements, especially {during hours after dark, when the load is the heaviest. Another _ important fact which the Toronto Financiens have not overlooked, is the confirâ€" mation of the Northern Highway which will connect Timmins to Toâ€" ronto and open up a Garden of Paraâ€" dise for Tourists, many of whom are anxiously looking â€" fomward _ to new roads and new country, as well as prompting residents of the North to take a few weeks off for a motor, trip to Toronto, in this way allowing. them to actually see the different towns and become ecloser associated. with them, â€" which will ‘be fon the mutual interest of all concerned and give the wind a chance to seatter| some of the idle money which has been dormant in the hands of many who do not realize the many golden opportunities they are â€" overlooking at present right in their own neighâ€" bonhood.
