The followinz editorial from the curnent issue of The Broke Hustler, of TIroquois Falls, will be read with very general interest by hockey fans in this town and district:â€" After much trial and tribplation the hockey season here looks good. We may not have as good games as the Sooâ€"Falls games of last season. There was no greater hockey played in Canada last winter than the first game with the Soo on their second trip here. Even the Allan Cup games were not so fast. We canâ€" not expect that kind of hockey but we will have good hockey of the right kind. There are a‘lot of good players in the Falls; more than enouch to make a firstâ€"class Senior players in the Falls; m« enough to make a firstâ€"cla team.. Naturally they will team. NfRAtUI considerable coaching he out into a team the pe THE PORCUPINE ADVANCE, TIMMINS, ONTARIO effort has been made by all the clubs of the N.O.H.AX. and. Q.H.A. to win the Allan Cup with the result that instead of developing home materâ€" ial, teams have been built up the outside in an effort to put the strongest possible aggregation on the ice. The result of this hot competiâ€" tion for the Allan Cup has made good hockey in spots, the best hockey Canada has seen, bhut the unfortunâ€" ate part is that the getting togethen of star teams has impeded the deâ€" velopment of the younger players. This year in the North the youngâ€" er playerps have come into thein own. All the teams with the exception of the Soo are made up iy creat part of men who got no chance to play on the carefully built up Allan Cup teams. The N.O.H.A. is at the point where it must either die or be born again. If the wild rush of the past few years has resulted in putting hockey on a proper basis where Cup is a Ccurse tfo nocrey. dLvyerly evel\ man who likes the game gets his chancee, it may yet be that hoecâ€" key will take new root and flourish in this North Country. One or two Allan Cup teams does not mean that hockey is a healthy : game, but if every town can put out a good hard fighting team, hockey is cert tainly very much alive. Hockey is the greatest game in the world, but it can only be kept so where it is the game of the people and not of imported stars. With Iroquois Falls, Timmins, New Lisâ€" keard and Cobalt all developing the material they have at hand it should be a splendid season from the point of interest and well worth the supâ€" port of every man who . loves thne game. It may not be quite as good hockey as the Soo games bnt with home teams one thing can be relied on that every man will give his very best effort for his team and town. Every man in the Falls should gave every support to both the Senior and Junior teams. The players are out to give everything that they have got, let the fellows who look on do the same and a great hockey season is assured. PRESENTATION MADE TO CAPT. TOM MAGLADERY Last week at a publicâ€"meeting held in New Liskeard Capt. Tgm Magâ€" ladery was presented with two large silver platters, as a mark of the apâ€" preciation felt for the dervices given the North Land by the former M.L. A. for Temiskaming. Mr. Homer Sutcliffe made the presentation, on behalf of the citizens of the riding who wished to show â€" thein high reâ€" gard for Capt. â€" Magladery and for his earnest work for the riding durâ€" ing his terms as Member of the Legâ€" islative Assembly. Capt. Magladery was given a_ great reception and made his usual capable and effective addness in reply. Mr. E. M. MeCrea, Mimster of Mines, was one of the other speakâ€" ers for the evening, and as is his custom, delivered an inspiring and informative address, touching specâ€" ially on the North Land and its needs and prospects. Capt. Magladery merits any appreâ€" ciation or regard shown him, as he vave fine semvice to the North Land, but at the same time it can not hbe denied that too often public service is allowed to pass without due noâ€" tice, so it is pleasing indeed to see the North Land setting a better exâ€" ample in the matter of showing apâ€" pretiation for the good service of its publ‘c men pi good many â€" people the conelusion after rears that the Allan chockey.:" Exvery vyery lubs Estimated That Over Seven Million Dollars Will be Expended in Enâ€" largements of Plants in 1925 C Mcelintyre, at Poreupine, is conâ€" templating an expenditure of $2,â€" 000,000 on additional milling equipâ€" ment,. It tells her story better than we can,â€""I feel it my duty to write you about your wonderful medicine Carnol. In January I had an operation for apâ€" nendicitis. The pain I suffered beâ€" fore the operation and the loss of blood afterwards left me so weakenâ€" ed and run down that I wasn‘t able to go about on my feet. I just had to lie around all the time. The docâ€" tor said I was to take iron for my blood for it was so thin. I had aneâ€" mia and folks said I had only a short time to live. Carnol saved my life thanks "to Carnol. /: 1. have gained about ten pounds in three months. After every â€" meal ~1 used to have indigestion and heartâ€" burn so bad that the pain was inâ€" tense. A dose of Carnol would give me immediate relief. Now I am abâ€" solutely cured of both. I had severe headaches and pains across my back and they have also disappeared. "This is how I started using Carâ€" nol. I asked a friend about Carnol. She said it was awfully good. Her doctor had recommended it to her to take after she had been in bed for months and she was completely cured. I called up our druggist and askedâ€" him."about He: reâ€" commended it but said he was just out of it and wanted me to take a bottle of beef, iron and wine, but ! said, ‘No, I want Carnol.‘" So he said he would send and get me some. Just as soon as it came I commenced to take it and it has renewed my blood and given me a wonderful apâ€" petite. I never have to take a laxâ€" ative with this medicine. I cannot recommend your medicine highly enough. It is just exactly what the system needs."â€"Mrs. Wilson H.
