AND WHEREAS it is desirable to issue the said Debentures at one time and to make the prineipal of the said debt repaygable by yearly sums during the period of thirty years, being the currency of the said Debentures, such vearly sums being of such respective amounts that the aggregate amount payable in each year for the prineipal and interest in respect of the said debt shall be nearly as possible equal to the amount so payable in each of the scther vears of the said period. AND WHEREAS the total amount required by the Consolidated Municiâ€" pal Act, 1922 and amendments thereâ€" to to be raised annually by special rate for paying the said debt and inâ€" terest as hereinafter provided is eight thousand and sixtyâ€"four dollars and fifteen cents ($8,064.15). AND WHEREAS the amount of the whole rateable property of the Township of Calvert according to the latest Revised Assessment Roll thereâ€" of is six bhundred and twentyâ€"eight thousand one hundred and severty dollars ($628,170.00) . It shall be lawful for the Reeve of the said Township to sign and isâ€" sue the said Debentures and the inâ€" terest coupons attached thereto shall be sizgned by the Treasurer of the uUn f the s graved. 5. During the currency of the said Debentures there shall be raised anâ€" nually by special rate on all rateable property in the said Township of Calâ€" vert, the sum of seven thousand one hundred and ninetyâ€"two dollars and thirtyâ€"five cents ($7,192.35) for the purpose of paying the amount due in each of the said years for principal and interest in respect of the said 6. FIRE DOES $2000 DAMAGE AT KING‘S AMUSEMENT HKALL At 4.10 awh. on Thursday morning last ‘fire was discovered under the sthirway at the back of King‘s Amusement Hall, and before the blaze could be extinguished damage to the extent of about $2,000.00 had been done. The cause of the fire is not known, but it is probable that it oriâ€" ginated from: a carelessly thrown match or cigarette stub, the mateh or stub smouldering among some boxes and waste perhaps for hours. A genâ€" tleman passing by shortly after four tleman passing by shortly after four o‘clock noticed the smoke and passed on word to Officer Parcher who at once put in an alarm. In the meanâ€" time Mr. H. Webb had been roused ‘and did good work in keeping the blaze down hy the skilful use of the small fire hose from the Hollinger Stores. The prompÂ¥ response of the fire brigade and the good work done by them prevented what might have proved a very serious fire. In a reâ€" markably short time the Firemen had three lines of hose playing on the blaze and the fire was soon put out. The back part of the King buldiug was damaged, the rear wall being partinulafly injured by the fire, Waâ€" ter and smoke also caused damage to the poolroom and bowling alley. The loss is fully covered by insurance. Mr. T. F.
