Reports from Cobalt, Haileybury and New Liskeard and other points in the Provincial riding of Temiskaming suggest a political battle to start there at a comparatively early date.. Capt. Tom Magladery has been the member in the Legislature for that riding and he hbhas a very large measure of poâ€" pularity in the district, as well as beâ€" ing considered a capable and aggresâ€" sive representative in the House. How ever, Capt. Magladery has moved to the West where he ‘has a responsible position with the Masseyâ€"Harris Co. As a consequence it is not likely he will again be a candidate in this ridâ€" ing. The other parties now suggest that Capt. Magladery is so strong a candidate that his loss will mean the loss of the seat for the Conservatives. This remains to ‘be seen, and it is just here that the battle will wage. There are other complications to add interâ€" est. For example, it is said that Laâ€" bour and the U.BF.O. do not see any more eve to eyve than Premier Drury POLITICAL POT SIMMERS IN TEMISKAMING RIDTNG Office 26. On Friday of this week HERE‘S A FRIDAY THAT DOESN‘T SEEM UNLUCKY is a good motto for either Christmas buying or politics. that he would make a popular and creâ€" ditable candidate in every way. From the reports it would appear that Teâ€" miskaming Riding will have a braw battle in the next Provincial contest. It is likely that this contest will be fought in the near future. There seems to be much more excitement in Temisâ€" kaming in the matter, than in this Riding of Cochrane. As one man here remarked last week, it is impossible to get much interest or excitement here until the election is right on. Perhaps this is due to the same causes that make people leave off their Christmas shopping until the last two or three days before the holiday. Shop early and Mr. J. J. Morrison. It is even kinted that this election the Labour people will go strictly on their own and have a man of their own ranks to represent them. If this happens, it would no doubt mean that neither Labour nor the U. F. O. would make any very serious showing in the conâ€" test if the other candidates were qutâ€" standing men. The Liberals so far have not given much hint as to the probable ceandidate to carry their banâ€" ner. In the Conservative ranks, Mr. W, A.
