The vegetables and grains exhibited were also worthy of special note. The vezetable exhibits showed that this North Land is great indeed as a marâ€" Ket garden, while the grain exhibit proved that it can also hold up its end in this line. IS THIS A RECORD IN THE SHIPMENT OF FREIGHT? MAMMOTH GOLD MINES TO TAKE OVER EDWARDS CLATMS It took 42 days for a shipment of household goods to go by freight reâ€" eently from South Poreupine to Barâ€" rie, Ont. The shipment was all the way by Provinceial or Dominion Govâ€" ernment railway. This is no argument for Government Ownership. A new nmining company has been organized to be knownr as the Mamâ€" moth Gold Mines Limited. This comâ€" pany is to take over the Edwards claims in the Township of Whitney. There are about 440 acres in the group that will come under the Mammoth Gold Mines, and the property thus ac* quired is a very promising one.
