PATRIOTIG CLUB REPORT FOR MONTH As will be noted by the report of the Treasurer given below«the contriâ€" butions to the Poreupine Consolidatâ€" ed Fund show a decided decrease in the past few months from the record shown in ealier months of the year. In September the contributions totalâ€" led over $2500 while in October they were $1640.97.. For November ‘they were only $776.12. Over $12,000 of the total pledges is still outstanding. Opinion in banking circles seems to . leadâ€"to the helief that wages of lTabot, particularly common labor, will drop decidedly in the near future. Now that the competitive bidding for labor has stopped at least temporarily and the shifting process from war work to peace work has brought large supplies of labor to the big industrial centres, it is not considered likely that wages ean be kept up by any governmental ageney much less by any, fixed policy of the lahor unions. Competition aâ€" mong working men to get new jobs now takes the place of competition aâ€" mon# employers to get working men, The logical result is a dron in wages.
